WHY REST IS SO IMPORTANT FOR US

We believe: to continue doing great deeds heroes need to rest regularly. That’s why we have planned a few scenarios for evening leisure. In the Heroes residential area it is possible to ride a bike in a forest park nearby. Or arrange a big family gathering in a spacious kitchen-living room. Or enjoy a cup of coffee on a balcony overlooking the greenery of the forest.

WHY THERE IS SO MUCH STUFF FOR CHILDREN

Special emphasis is made on family and raising children. We wanted to create an ideal infrastructure so that the young residents of the residential area would grow up to become well-rounded people ready to change the world. That’s why in the yards there are a lot of playgrounds with different functions; schools and kindergartens are nearby. Besides, we believe that every hero should have his own room.

WHAT IMPRESSION THE SPACE WILL GIVE

We wanted to leave a feeling of free space despite the large-scale development. So the idea was born: to make glass balconies along the entire facade and make angular glazing on the higher floors - thanks to that high-rise buildings seem light and airy. Also we moved all engineering structures outside the complex borders, for example, boiler room and fire department; so they won’t take place which can be used for lawns and children’s playgrounds.

HOW THE PROJECT IS CONNECTED TO THE PLACE

Architects say that a good project is a project that’s conceptually linked with its area. Of course, we invented the Heroes residential area considering the specific circumstances of the location. For example, next to our complex Olginskiy forest park is located. We thought that residents of the complex would ride bicycles in the park or around the city, so we equipped vehicle-storage rooms near the building's entrances to make bicycle storage convenient.

HOW WE CHANGE THE ATTITUDE TO BALASHIKHA

This is not our first project in Balashikha and during the time we understood that residents value their town and its infrastructure: there are both - places to work and places to spend time on weekends. But the link to Moscow still remains. When we started working on the Heroes residential complex, we often heard: «Balashikha is far away». And we decided that we want to change the attitude to the town, to prove that it is possible to live comfortably here; and to the distances - to demonstrate that Balashikha is quite close. This is how the slogan «Take a walk to the station, 25 minutes by Sputnik – and you are already on the Garden Ring» appeared. Other arguments in favor of a fast way there are the reconstruction of the Nosovikhinsky highway, which will reduce the travel time to Moscow, and the construction of the MCD-4 in Zheleznodorozhny.
